So you are thinking of buying a puppy?
All puppies are beautiful, but here are a few things to think about...
Here are some of the questions we will ask:
- Why do you want a papillon?
- Would you like to show?
- Are you considering breeding?
- Do you have other dogs or children?
- Where will the papillon live?
- Do you work?
- Do you want to participate in an activity - agility/obedience/showing/htm?
All our puppies are sold with a contract. If sold as a pet we put in the contract that the buyer will care for the dog, including grooming, worming annual vaccinations, and veterinary care. We also put in the contract that the dog should be returned to us if the buyer can no longer care for the dog for whatever reason. We do this to ensure no Metamorphic bred papillon needs to be in rescue or finds its way to a commercial breeder. We will always offer advice and help for the lifetime of the dog. Our puppies will stay here with mum untill they are 12 weeks old.
If you are thinking of buying a papillon puppy you are stongly advised to do so through the Kennel Club. We would also advise that you see the puppy in the home before taking some time to think how this lively little bundle will change your life.
Please bear in mind that papillons are a long lived breed and when buying a puppy you are going to have a companion for around 14 years. The record for canine age in the uk is held by a papillon who was 27 when he died.
